Increase Funding for Affordable Housing

  • Partner with affordable housing non-profits to build new housing in wealthier, high-opportunity areas of Dallas.

  • Expand inclusionary zoning, especially in areas close to transit.

  • Increase the number of units owned and operated by the Dallas Housing Authority in order to provide permanent low-cost public housing.

  • Dallas has made positive strides in using some of the stimulus funds for homeless housing vouchers and adopting a Housing First plan (Source).
