Increase Funding for Affordable Housing

Partner with affordable housing non-profits to build new housing in wealthier, high-opportunity areas of Dallas.

Expand inclusionary zoning, especially in areas close to transit.

Increase the number of units owned and operated by the Dallas Housing Authority in order to provide permanent low-cost public housing.

Dallas has made positive strides in using some of the stimulus funds for homeless housing vouchers and adopting a Housing First plan (Source).
